It’s been an incredibly tough winter as an angler. The reality of the situation is that wave after wave of stormy weather has battered the country and rains have risen inland venues to unmanageable and almost unfishable levels.

Ireland is being battered at the moment. We are suffering storms that have caused damage not seen for quite some time.

Very sad news is circulating through kayak fishing circles that the sport has suffered its first shark fatality of the Maui coast.

The last week has been a very busy, very dry week. I haven’t made it out for a week due to college assessments and assignments.

I have had a very busy couple of weeks settling into college, trying to keep on top of assignments, adjusting to my new time table and doing yo-yo impressions between the east and west coasts.
