Where day one on the east coast was all about having the craic and not taking the fishing too seriously, day two was an all out assault on the smoothhounds…..
With the second last exam of my degree done and a 10 day study break before the final exam the only logical thing for me to do was to drive to the other side of the country to go fishing!
An early start was on the cards. Admittedly, Anthony Byrne from the Irish Kayak Angling Club had beaten me to the harbour and launch site first. I had headed to the wrong harbour!
Following the return of my van and having been left with a decent amount of leftover bait from yesterday’s foray, I decided that the logical thing to do was get the kayak out onto the water.
Bad weather approaches. The meteorological situation in Ireland has decided to do a complete U-turn.
