With a couple of hours to spare before visitors landed for the week I decided to spend the time on the water. With the tide against me I headed for deeper water.
I had a very busy week this week and next week will be no different. Time on the water will be scant and I only managed a quick session this week. I imagine next week will be the same.
With a morning of light winds forecast I decided to spend some time on the water. The southerlies were supposed to build throughout the morning to peak in the afternoon.
A bank holiday weekend had arrived and I was looking forward to some further exploration in the Kingdom that is the scenic county of Kerry in Ireland’s south west.
I had to bring auld Betsy to the NCT today for her test. She passed with flying colours so I decided to go fishing in the afternoon to see if a good morning would herald some luck.
It has been a while since I have done any sort of fishing. Finishing up college saw me very busy for a few days while I tried to sort myself out with some work.
A short evening session yesterday took me off the beaten track and transported me to some true wilderness, I love getting away from it all like this.
Where day one on the east coast was all about having the craic and not taking the fishing too seriously, day two was an all out assault on the smoothhounds…..
Life for the last four years has been a balancing act between trying to juggle college, ‘work’ commitments, fatherhood and fishing, to name a few. One of the juggling balls has been set aside.
With all exams officially finished it was time to get back to doing what I love doing. The Galway weather was glorious this evening and it made for a glassy sea on the bay.
